a colorless, transparent, oily liquid with a pleasant odor. The relative density was 1. 042. Stable at room temperature, when the temperature is higher than 100 deg C when the explosion occurs.
It is obtained by reacting methyl ethyl ketone with hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide) in the presence of sulfuric acid. After oxidation, neutralization, separation, dehydration, standing, filtration, and finally adding the solubilizing agent to obtain the finished product.
It is the safest peroxide to use as a catalyst in the production of polyester and acrylic polymers. It is also widely used as a hardening agent in the production of reinforced polyester glass fibers.
